At Parr Dental, we check for cavities, assess the health of your teeth, gums and bite, and thoroughly clean your teeth. Our goal is to keep you and your mouth healthy and ensure that any issues are caught early before they become bigger problems. We also offer additional services like sealants, fluoride treatments, and periodontal care to protect your teeth and gums between appointments.
We never lose sight of the purpose for dental exams is all based on your health.
Typical services during your checkup include:
Digital X-Rays
Essential for detecting decay, tumors, cysts, and bone loss, and for determining tooth and root positions. Our X-rays are digital, which allows us to diagnose any problems quickly and send them on to you or a specialist.
Oral Cancer Screening
Check the face, neck, lips, tongue, throat, tissues, and gums for any signs of oral cancer.
Gum Disease Evaluation
Check the gums and bone around the teeth for any signs of periodontal disease.
Examination of Tooth Decay
All tooth surfaces will be checked for decay with special dental instruments.
Examination of Existing Restorations
Check current fillings, crowns, etc.
Tooth Wear Examination
This is a basic test to screen for any signs of tooth wear.
Full Patient Dental Assessment
Beyond cleaning your teeth and checking for cavities, this includes an evaluation of any oral risk factors.
Cleanings
Our hygiene team will clean and polish your teeth to ensure they are free of substances like plaque and tartar that can cause cavities, gingivitis and gum disease.
